What are Explorer Camps?
Free Time Kids Playcare's Explorer Camps for 3-12 YO's explore Science, Art, Eco-Art and Engineering! Each day is a different subject. Our Senior Explorers (5-12) enjoy most of their camps outside (weather permitting)! Your kids will enjoy Exploring with FTKP's weekly themes, unique projects and activities and lots of fun with friends! With affordable options and the flexibility you desire, you will enjoy Exploring your Free Time!

Every Tuesday children will get in touch with their inner artists! A creative art activity will be conducted based on the weekly theme. Have you ever painted with a toothbrush? Have you ever made balloon bowls? What about creating cowboy vests? Well that's just a tiny fraction of the activities your child will do!

Every Wednesday children will listen to a story and create a related craft! We bring in fun and exciting books that relates to our weekly theme then create a craft that goes with it. Puppets, masks and more are created.

Every Thursday children can become Scientists and Engineers! With a different experiment each week, the kids will learn new and exciting things in a fun way. Slime, volcanoes, static electricity and more are discovered. Who also doesn't love constructing and building new and exciting things? Not us! We create projects based on the weekly theme.

Every Friday children will have the opportunity to play with sensory materials and/or create sensory art! Who doesn't love making slime, playdough or kinetic sand? We use this day to experiment with a variety of sensory materials.

EVERY DAY your child will become their own environmentalist! They will learn about the importance of protecting our one-and-only planet Earth, all while creating masterpieces from nature and recyclables.

FAQ - Explorer Camps
What is the Cost?
SR. EXPLORERS (3-12 YOs):
Full-Days (8 hours/day - Tu-Fr) $216 weekly (like paying $6.75/hr or $54/day)
Half-Days (4 hours/day) - Tu-Fr $112 weekly (like paying $7.00/hr or $28/day)
Benefits of the Full & Half Day Camps are cheaper rates and a guaranteed spot for your child!
Summer Camp Pass: 60 hours for $435 (like paying $7.25/hr)*
School's Out Camp Pass (not for the Summer): 30 hours for $195 (like paying $6.50/hr)**

You MUST be a Member to get the Camp Rates. For the full & half day rates, you will need to sign up ahead of time, with no refund for missed days.
What are the Days?
Tuesday-Friday (please note, we are closed on Mondays)
What is the Summer Camp Pass?
*The Summer Camp Pass is the most flexible option. These hours can be used anytime Tu-Fr. Best of all, you can just DROP-IN! Please note: these hours are only good during our Summer Explorer Camp (Jun-Aug) for the Sr. Explorers (3-12). All unused hours expire Aug 31 of that session. Reservations are recommended, as some weeks are busier than others.
What are the School's Out Camp Passes?
**The School's Out Camp Passes are the most flexible during school days off. These are for children ages 5-12 and hours can be used any time Tu-Fri. Best of all, you can just DROP-IN! Please note: these hours are only good on school days off (spring, winter, fall, PTO days, snow days, etc.) and not good during the summer breaks (see Summer Camp Pass for those hours). All unused hours expire one year from purchase. If you'd like further hours or hours that don't expire, please see our package options.
Do I have to be a Member?
No! You do NOT have to be a Member to have your child participate in our camp activities, however, you do have to be a Member to purchase our Camp passes and to get the Camp weekly rates.
What are the times?
8 AM - 6 PM
Do you do anything for Virtual & eLearning Days?
Yes! Since 2020, we've been assisting kids with their e-learning and virtual learning days. Whether they are off due to inclement weather or it's a planned e-learning day, we're here for you, and your child! Just bring in their Chromebook, tablet or laptop with the power cord and headphones, along with any learning materials they will need. Please provide us their log-in information and schedule (including any times they need to log on to Zoom or meetings). We'll ensure they get everything completed and attend what they need to.
