What are Crafternoons?

Are you looking for an extracurricular activity for your 4+ year old? Does your child love art, but doesn't have the opportunity for it in school? Or are you wanting to introduce art into your child's mind? Look no further than our Crafternoons! We have two opportunities!

FREE CRAFT:

Each day at 3:00 we have a different, more involved craft for kids ages 4+ that is NO additional charge (drop-in rates apply)!! These crafts are a variety of different methods using a mixture of techniques and materials.

ENRICHMENT ART SERIES:

From 3:30-5:30 an art lesson is taught with every Tue being Ceramics, Wed Painting, & Thu Woods. Each class takes an in-depth look at the materials they are working with and gets an instructional lesson on the project. Each week is different.

CERAMICS We use already glazed pieces, unfinished pieces, and even create work with clay. During this class your child will also learn about the history of ceramics and the materials used.

PAINTING Your kids will learn about different artists along with a variety of painting styles and methods, and the different types of paints used (acrylic, pastels, etc.). Each week is a different technique and artist from the week prior. Paintings are done on different size canvases, watercolor papers & more.

WOODS We paint wooden figurines, signs and more. In addition, some classes are assembling and painting a wood project or creating projects using wood sticks, etc.

ENRICHMENT ART FEE

You can sign up for 4 weeks of each class for $115 ($155 Non-Members), this includes everything (two hours of care, snack, supplies, lesson & direction).

OR you can do the $18 add-on fee to your drop-in or package rate, if supplies are available.

FAQ

What are the ages?

We recommend these crafts for ages 4+. We use our free morning craft for the children under 4. If you'd like your younger child to participate in the Enrichment Art activity, we will do our best to have them follow along, however, we can't guarantee they will complete the work.

What are the Days & Times?

The FREE craft is at 3:00 Tue-Fri. The Enrichment Art activity is Tue-Thu and begins around 3:30 and will last until completion or before 5:30. If your child arrives after 3:30, we will do our best to catch them up to where we are.

What does it include?

The FREE craft includes everything needed. The Enrichment Art activity includes a snack, two hours of care (unless this is as an add-on), all supplies needed, instruction and a lesson in what we are doing.

How does the 4 weeks Enrichment Art Series work?

You sign up for 4 weeks of either Ceramics, Painting OR Woods classes. You can sign up for more than one class, i.e, Ceramics & Woods. Each Tuesday is Ceramics, Wednesday is Painting and Thursday is Woods. You may skip weeks, as long as you notify us within 48 hours of the class.

What is your cancellation policy?

There are no refunds for the 4 weeks Enrichment Art series. You can however, skip weeks if you notify us within 48 hours of the class.
